Wow! It has been an adventure all it’s own just getting to Spain. We were delayed due to weather in Dallas so held over a night, rescheduled to Madrid, and held over a second night. Good thing we are not on a tight schedule! The airline put us up in a great place so it couldn’t have worked out better. We are all settled into our apartment next to the market in the square and we have already visited a local bakery for fresh meat breads and desserts for dinner!

Glad you made it! Enjoy!
I see you are six hours ahead of me, and it’s almost midnight there. I hope you will get some good rest tonight. Glad you arrived safely. One of my FAVORITE books is “The Hobbit” by J.R.R.Tolkien. This is a book about a very long journey (and a fantastic adventure) taken by Bilbo Baggins, an individual not accustomed to very long journeys and not particularly ready for adventure. I thought you might enjoy some excerpts:
“I am looking for someone to share in an adventure that I am arranging, and it’s very difficult to find anyone.’
I should think so — in these parts! We are plain quiet folk and have no use for adventures. Nasty disturbing uncomfortable things! Make you late for dinner!”
― J.R.R. Tolkien, The Hobbit
I love the Hobbit, too! Hoping your adventure is much more enjoyable, interesting and safe than Bilbo’s!! 🙂
