We waited on Darby with Ohana. Darby never showed but we had great food, games, and lots of laughs! 

Spent the day hanging out to see what tropical storm Darby is going to do. Supposedly crossing directly over Kauai sometime tonight.

Doesn’t everyone rope swing this way? 

Tonight we went to the big Bon festival and danced and ate traditional foods; Damien noodles, flying saucers, yariki, mitsubi spam, and maki sushi! 

We spent the day at glass beach and Waimea canyon climbing trees for plums and playing in the mud picking berries! 

We played really hard today… Gonna sleep excellent tonight! 

Volunteering at Kauai Foodbank today! Helping feed the homeless and hungry on the island. This has been part of our Summer for over seven years and there are people there that we worry about and it is wonderful to check in with them when we return. 

We had a great day together celebrating Mike’s birthday! We woke up with the sun and hit the reef, had local breakfast, drove to canyon to hike and pick berries/plums, literally “found” friends in the canyon, and had amazing ahi burritos at Monico’s for birthday dinner. Oh yeah, we also learned how to play Pokemon go! ❤️familytime
