These photos explain the entire day! We were all over this city working out payment and transportation of goods. We serve as major entertainment to folks like our sweetheart of  a carpenter.  By the end of the day we checked on progress at schools, had multiple bank transactions, talked the science people into gathering and delivering our musical instruments, set up delivery of library books, settled with Montessori, flooring, and pillows, lost an argument over containers, had pillows delivered, and shared an incredible lunch that Nita prepared special for us! On the way home I had my backpack stuffed full, my groceries hanging off my back, and bookshelves in my arms. This girl was filthy and exhausted. Now I’m full ( thanks Nita), clean, and exhausted. Good exhausted!   
   

Driving lessons today!  

So petrol is still only open at certain hours and lines are crazy! This is Babi in the petrol line today. We were headed to check the building of the library furniture… Bookshelves are started!    
   

Success! We made an executive decision to send flooring across Kathmandu by cab after the floor guy told us he couldn’t deliver. When there is a will…there is a way. So, after stopping about 4 cabs that thought we were crazy (very observant fellas) and said no way, this guy felt said ok. He did attempt to raise the fare AFTER the car was loaded but we stood firm! Flooring delivered!    

We finished painting the computer/science space today and computer tables and chairs arrived! Working to get flooring here… Every day a little closer   

Today was the first day of school for many of the littlest ones so as we entered school a few of these precious pre-k babies were missing mama😟 look at these faces! One little guy would pull it together, but if he made eye contact with anyone compassionate he just crumbled again. Precious precious babies!   
    
    
    
 

…And to end the day… We have floor pillows completed for the pre-rooms! So exciting!  225 of them to be exact! After spending days and days finding tailor, going to buy materials, negotiating prices, this is major progress.   
 

Began painting the base coat of Rising Rays new SAFE LEARNING SPACE Computer Lab/ Science rooms today with the best volunteer team ever! We worked, drank a little tea, and laughter a LOT!

One of our ENG scholarship girls from Rising Rays is in her first year of her 4 year degree for business administration. So proud of Aanju!
