Congratulations Bryce!

Six gold keys, including his Senior Portfolio, four silver, and one honorable mention with Scholastic Art and Writing at the Regional level! Congratulations! So proud of you for sticking with your writing even when there is so much on your plate. Way to go!l

Research Nerd

Completed 4 qualitative research interviews today thanks to the support of the Relief Trust and Sujan, who graciously coordinated and translated when needed. Who knew research could be so exciting?!?!?

Productive Day

Finished and submitted article for publication, scheduled interviews for research data collection , completed faculty workshop PowerPoint, and met with a delightful young colleague, Max Silverman, that is working teaching English for a year in Nepal before beginning his Masters in Psychology back in the states.

American MOM

Spent the day with these beauties! They now all call me their American Mom. They are so strong, smart, and loving. The girls explained their degrees to me today, the actual courses they are taking and what it feels like for some of them to only see their families once a year in order to get a degree. They also shared worry about the future in a culture where girls fates are up to the graciousness of their husbands families. Many struggle with English and my Nepali is even worse but we do fine when we actually have time to sit together. I really love and respect these girls.

mid-program

This girl just finished her Fulbright Program check-in! I think that deserves a coke light (big treat here!) and maybe a cake in a cup I brought from LOUISIANA. Go big or go home! Thank you Fulbright for all the amazing support!
