ENG sponsors 30 precious girls at Little Moon SChool. Part of our commitment to these children is to have visits to their schools to check on their progress and the environment in which they are learning. The NSU grad students brought a few educational supplies for the girls and the school held a special ceremony. There were welcome songs, khatas, blessings, hugs, and so much joy!

Science Lab shopping
The students were a great help choosing grade appropriate materials for the science lab that Judy McIntyre donated in honor of Evans.
Preparation
We spent a very long evening preparing for the suicide awareness training at the American Embassy tomorrow. This training is a collaborative effort between our American and Nepali graduate students. It is an interactive training on signs, symptoms, assessment, and intervention of suicidality. This topic is taboo in Nepal and yet they are 3rd highest rates in the world. We are doing ground-breaking work training 3 different groups of young professionals to train others. Embassy training will be for staff & medical students. We have prepared train -the-trainer manuals, posters, brochures, awareness bracelets, pocket cards, and handouts! This evening we all learned so much from one another as we prepared for our training!

End of a long flight, settled into apartments, phone transfers, grocery shopping, out for dinner, preparation for tomorrow’s ENG school visit. We are all dragging but we lost one to a quick nap and decided to quietly gather around for this fun photo before we all tucked in. Good night from Nepal
