Big snow storm last night. No showers from this point on. Living on disposable underwear, washcloths with boiled water, and chapstick!

Into dengboche, everything changes, landscape, wind, altitude becomes real. Slowly, slowly…. one step at a time

Went to sleep with torrential rain, woke up to snow and strong winds. Gonna be a long day trekking up!

Back here after such a long time. This is such a difficult place to get to but so worth it. Tucked in a lodge for an evening of food, music, UNO and rest with other trekkers from all over the world. Legs feel like noodles but I’m good!

4 hours more straight up into Everest region

So weary now in super cold rooms at night with hot water bottles in our sleeping bags for heat and hats on our heads for sleep. Hot water is a valued commodity and we found a shower! The room was cold but sun was out so it was a banner day. Squeaky clean!
