Home Visit

One of my favorite parts of ENG work is conducting home visits. It is a very personal time with families to sit quietly over tea and build relationships. Today we broke into groups and visited families. Our scholarship girls are so proud to walk us to their homes and share their life with us. Today’s family was so sweet. They rent a small farm that the grandfather, mom & dad work. They mostly grow tomatoes for the small village, have a few goats, a cow, a few chickens, and bees. The parents work so hard so their children can study and have a better life. Their daughter wants to be an “airline hostess” she has only seen a plane on tv or in the sky but she dreams of being in the clouds.
