Last Morning Wish

Thanks to Babita,Sameer, and Suman for making my wish for my last morning here come true. I have always wanted to do something to reach out to the very poorest of Nepal. So, we bought food and made over 100 packets of noodles, crackers and juice and went on scooters to distribute to the street children living in the dirt on the sides of the roads. Pure desperation… NEVER experienced anything like this encounter. It will take a while to process this experience. My heart is so so full!!

See You Later Party!

Tonight I was given a going away party and I received special gifts of appreciation but I feel like I’m the one that should be saying thank you to this amazing group of people that I have grown to think of as my Nepali family. The very best gifts are those of love and kindness and I was blessed in abundance with both. ❤️🙏 Thank You!

Everyday Miracles

We found Dawa! This reunion was so so sweet and I will never ever forget this woman. She kept crying and saying ” you found me” ” I had to get sick and come here for you to find me” I can’t believe you came” . Wow, serious tugging at my heart! She has been at the hospital for over a week , came in delerious with meningitis and will be in the hospital for some time yet. I met her son who came to take Babita and I to her side. I just know there is some reason our paths crossed, and every unexpected detail fell in place for me to find her here in Kathmandu . I probably will never understand. Some things are not meant to be understood. I am feeling so blessed to see her again. Thank you to each person that helped make this moment possible!

Ghansahar

We left Bahandada, took jeeps back down the mountain to Besesahara to reload with supplies and up the other side of the mountains we headed to deliver scholarship supplies, science lab #3, and a library package! This is the village we spent Christmas in two years ago, so beautiful! It was really wonderful to see this place again. Feeling so blessed!
