I spent Nepali New Year’s Day out exploring. I took the day on my own and explored every back alley, temple, and shop I could find between Oson Markets and Thamel. A world unto itself…wish I had more time to wander and get lost in this place but back to work tomorrow.

These are my favorite pictures so far! I feel like I’m there and can almost hear the sounds and feel the heat and dust! I LOVE the pics of the people, the markets and the buildings! It’s so interesting to see the everyday scenes of Nepali lives- so different yet some part so familiar. The buildings and temples are So beautiful and ornate. I’m sure they were built long ago!
