Started the day with university visit and then on to order flooring for the schools, finalize furniture with the builder, and finally shopping for material for throw pillows for the kid’s resource rooms. Ended the day again around 8:00 crossing Kathmandu on a scooter ( me, Babi, two backpacks, and two very large bags of fabric) to try and make it back to meet with the group actually sewing the pillows. My daddy will be proud of my measuring and calculating for flooring, lumber, furniture, etc.

Love the pics of the town with all the people in their everyday life-especially the markets!!! So fascinating! Also, I love all the BEAUTIFUL fabrics!! They’re SO colorful! You’re using the fabric to make pillows to sit on in the classrooms?
Yes, pillows for the pre-k rooms. The children have no tables, chairs or carpet in many schools. Just cold, dirty concrete. We are putting flooring and building tables with floor pillows and bookshelves to hold new learning supplies!
