Lukla

off the Everest Trail and back in Lukla! This is Tika… Our 17 year old porter. He reminded me of Bryce with his mischievous personality. He did an amazing job on the trek.!

Ghat School

this school is so sweet and I love visiting with our children here. They are always so happy when we come! This is the principal’s office, the school bell, and a typical classroom for them. Lots of love put into preparing the rooms!

Trail Reconstruction

Nima is heading a project to rebuild a trail from Chuserma to Monju to allow access of supplies and safe passage. I am so honored that Bryce, Mike and I can help with this project… It wll help so many people. All the work is done by hand by local men… Amazing

Beyul

Thank you Nima Sherpa for taking such wonderful care of us. Sitting out under the mountains and talking into the evening was just what was needed… Perfect!

Solomonju School

there is major damage around our dear friend, Nima”s, beautiful Beyul from the second large earthquake. Major landslides with no safe passage. The picturesque school sitting on the mountain above him is completely destroyed and so sad to see it this way. The children are coming for class but parents are very nervous …. The walk is treacherous for them in places.  As we crossed the last landslide area a large rock fell from hundreds of feet above and bounced between Pasang and I… It was very loud..,who knew I could run so quickly?

Angel

as we left Monju climbing to Nimas home, Beyul, we passed a father with a sweet angel running very high fever. The baby had been burned. Badly and was infected-just tore my heat out to see one so little and innocent in such pain. We did all we could and sent medicine we had…. I was also very touched by the care and gentleness shown by the daddy and also the gentleness of our team in caring,I’ve never felt more helpless. Life is just so hard for some.
