After 14 hours we are now re-routing once again! In Dubai overnight. The cultural change is so drastic, a bit uncomfortable but most people are so helpful. We got vouchers from the airline to eat and realized it was for McDonalds😝 we just wanted fries and water but they insisted on filling the $20 so dinner after midnight in Dubai was a bit out of hand… We shared with the hotel staff! The item list for security is a wee bit different here… It includes the usual but also grenades, rope, chainsaws, etc….?!?!??????? We are tucked away safely and hope to see Kathmandu tomorrow…

Soooo…. Sitting at Washington Dulles airport… Re-routed. Germany out… Direct to Dubai. This will be a 14 hour flight. 😳Getting to Kathmandu is always an adventure
